Get Away At Lloyd’s Inn
I had a little getaway staycation at the most cool boutique
hotel recently, with the raise of the Instagram hipsters, this
hotel is the all time favorite by all of them! Lol. The theme
of the hotel is minimalist, white and a lot of black spaces
for the hipster to crop them into their Instagram! Lol. The
team at Lloyd’s inn gave me the sky room, which was
perfect for a two days bath tub soaking getaway. I was
literally in the bath tub for hours after hours! Even the last
night Nich came to the hotel with booze, I got drunk,
I was in the bath tub too.
I simply love the entire atmosphere at the hotel, although it’s
fully booked, but the guest at the hotel wasn’t noise or active
at all, me, sandy and Wendy had the dipping pool all by
ourselves in the afternoon and night. It was such pleasure
experience at the hotel, it feels like I m actually at overseas,
a quiet place to getaway from all noise.
I go along with the theme of the hotel I shoot a series of photo

The location was also really awesome, there’s a convenient
store, super market, drugs store and many restaurants at
WALKING DISTANCE. Yes I hate walking, so when I say it’s
walking distance it’s really super near. And it’s also at town
area, going to orchard is like with 5-8 mins by taxi!
If you are looking for a couple getaway, the sky room is perfect,
simple yet very romantic, the even at night the dipping area
gave me and my friends full privacy, there’s no one there!

I was alone for the 1st night then the 2nd night my dear BFF
sandy and Wendy came to visit!!! It’s been a while since we
had a hotel gathering! We had sooooo much fun catching
up! Sandy is more free than Wendy, this Wendy is now full
time working now. Very hard to catch her, and also sandy
will be going back to Taiwan permanently soon…. I will die.
How am I suppose to live without my BFF..?

Thank you Lloyd’s inn for hosting me for the wonderful two
days! I really really really needed it, as I was super stressed.
I m going in BKK in a few hours! Will be stay at W hotel bangkok,
hope I could have a great getaway there, shall review hotel when
I m back! I just love all the boutique hotels!
Recent Events – 03/15
Hello!!
Last month I was invited as the special guest for the MDIS
open house event!! The big day finally arrived and I
was really excited! I was really proud and honoured to be
part of such big event, it was truly an eye opener as
I got to see and know more of fashion design during the
event!
Rachel and I arrived at the School of Fashion and Design in
MDIS campus that afternoon, we were warmly welcomed
by all the fashion students, they introduced us their
works and explained how they produce their clothing
and the process of designing.
It was very interesting as we got to know how
their work developed from scattered
ideas into an art piece that you could wear!
The main segment of the open house event was a workshop
involving tee-shirt manipulation!
YES, with this ordinary and plain black tees…
The fashion design students would show and teach everyone
how they could use these tees and revamp them into
interesting and pretty clothing or even full length dresses!!
I teamed up with 3 other students, I told them
I wanted to do something with a heart shape… And they
said… “No problem!” Lol. So we started working on the tees!
After a while of cutting, pinning up here and there, tying up and
down… BAM!!!!! They made a dress out of the tees!!! I was
actually expecting a tee with the heart shape hole at the back..
But how crazy talented and creative these young people
were!! I was so proud of them and really amused by their
ability to transform something ordinary into a piece of wearable
art!
The later part of the event was me being a stylist… Haha.
I wasn’t really confident, because usually I only play dress
up with my clothes and during the open house I had to be
dressing up girls! Thankfully I had some help from the lecturer
of the fashion school! He was really really helpful and
experienced!
The little girls who came down to see me, I took them as my
models to dress them up with all the clothes that were sponsored
by Bershka, Pull&Bear and Stradivarius! I hope they like the way
I dress them… Lol!
Had a really fun day at the open house with Rachel! Again thank
you MDIS School of Fashion and Design for inviting me as a special
guest! I must say, really flattered and honoured

Design, I’m sure you are curious on what the school offers!
Okay so let me explain you a little more on the courses
they provide! These are the programmes that are now open for
applications in May & Sep and later in October!
They have a Preview Night where you can see the students’
design collection and portfolio) on the 22 April 2015,
7pm at MDIS Campus, Fashion Studio

1. Diploma in Fashion Design and Marketing
If you are interested in learning more about fashion, the 1-year
diploma is perfect for you. ITE N, O levels may apply!!
Their diploma intakes are in May and Sep!
2. Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Fashion Design
If you have A-levels or another diploma in fashion/design and a nice
portfolio to show you may apply. If you have graduated from a local
Polytechnic School of Design, you may even be granted direct
entry to Year 2 to the degree course. But it’s
subject to University’s approval
Or, if you have relevant work experiences or other significant qualifications
that may be considered too!

3. Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Fashion Branding and Marketing
If you have A levels or you already have a polytechnic diploma
you may applyto this course! No portfolio required! Or if you have
worked in the fashion industry this may be considered too!
If you are from a local polytechnic studying courses like business,
international business/marketing/entrepreneurship or any other
relevant course it’s most likely that you will be interested in this
course and the chances of you enrolling into this course will be
higher too,

Last month it was a big a month for my blogging agency
Nuffnang!! They turn 8!! Amazing isn’t it? A company that
come this far. The best of all, Nuffnang is still the top and
best blogging agency. This wasn’t easy with all the recent
competitions!
One of the best things that Nuffnang offered us bloggers
is the opportunity to stay together. Like me, Sophie, Yanyan
and qiuqiu (she couldn’t attend this year as she is in
confinement.) there’s always such events to keep us
together, at the beginning of our friendship, if it wasn’t
Nuffnang I think the chance of us 4 sticking together that
often were much much less… I truly thank Nuffnang for
bringing these awesome friends to me.
This year’s theme is white and gold…& all things glamorous..
I showed up with a caesar diamond leaf crown… LOL.
Outrageous, I know right. This Sophie sent us a pic of the
dress that she will be wearing, super crazily slutty, super
low cut. I was like must top her, can’t let her to have all the
attention. LOL. The moment I seat down next to her. She
said: ” walao, your outfit damn kuazhang (over the top)!!” I
was like.. I know right. LOL.

This year’s gift bag was the most awesome one ever!! I got
sonicare toothbrush from Philips!!!! Super super love it! And a
lot of goodies from brands, Samsung and belief!!! These
brands are one of those super big brands that I super love!!!

As much as I hate outdoor events.. But the moment I
reached the location I was super impressed!!! The place
is so prettily decorated!! The peeps at Assemble Happinest

did a awesome job! It’s so pretty that for the moment I forgot
about the heat. I just wanted to camwhore. LOL!!
The food are awesome too!! Desserts… Yes desserts!!!
Nuffnang not only brought me and my friends closer! They
also let me get to know other bloggers, here’s a group pic
with the new bloggers friends I get to know! Like mongabong,
Yina and evonz!

weird without Qiu this year… Really really miss her. It was
always the 4 of us at the Nuffnang birthday party for the past
4 years…

Was invited to the vineyard food tasting with Yanyan! It was a
candle light fine dinning experience! The food was refreshing
delicious, most of the dishes I have never try before!
Had an awesome 5 course fine dinning with the awesome
peeps from Nuffnang!! Delighted with their fusion dishes and
romantic ambience! Very very suitable for couples! It’s a discreet
and quiet place!

And previously I raved about her new camera, the Olympus
E-PL 7! It was really good, here’s all the photos taken with E-PL 7
and Casio’s TR150! For every pic taken at the cafe I will mention
at the bottom of the pic which camera it’s taken with. At end
of the series of photo. Let’s a have Verdict of which is a better
camera!

Overall you could see it’s a CLOSE FIGHT!!! I super love TR150’s
wide angles, it’s could absolutely capture more things at my
arm length, but E-LP 7 is much much more sharper! Looks
more professional, one of the mega good feature of E-LP 7
is that you could adjust your photo color tone, brightness,
contrast and level of blurriness LIVE!!!
TR150 also can do that,
but the color tone adjustment is based by scenes. You can’t
control the amount of intensity of each color scenes, but E-LP 7
can!!!!

Okay! Here come to the end of my April/March’s monthly
update of events and happenings! In 2 days I will be flying to
Bangkok for AFA Thailand 2015!!
I m kinda nervous and happy
at the same time, it’s my 1st Thailand public event, not really
sure how are the crowd at Thailand will be like! I had a really
great time in Indonesia previously, the girls there were super
friendly and warm!

I also extended my trip… 4 more days. I really wanted a get
away, hopefully by the time when I m back I could be fully
recharged and able to kick start my work!!!
